Halloween Fun 2009
Here are just 2 of the pumpkins we carved for our Halloween celebrations. We carried out a risk assessment and found a safe place for them to be displayed for our Halloween disco. We thought they looked great and were really proud of them. Have a look at the photos on our main school blog page to see our fantastic costumes.

Papermania
Primary 6/7 have been hard at work and have produced an amazing set of paper sculptures. They are on display at the entrance to their class. Here is a photo of a "hedgehog in pastels" to let you appreciate the intricacy of their work.

Meeting with author Nick Hesketh

Today our Primary 6/7 pupils used the video conferencing tool within GLOW to meet with author Nick Hesketh. They linked with several other schools round Scotland to learn more about conflict and characterisation. At the end of the session they were set a challenge by Nick. This was enjoyable way to learn and allows the children access to experts in their field that would not normally be possible. They will post work completed on the shared national Writer's Workshop glow group and are already looking forward to their follow-up session later in the month.
